Growing up, Jeff was a big brother to many foster children who became part of his family over the years. He formed lasting bonds with them and was someone they could always look up to.
Jeff was raised in Winnipeg’s North End, where he developed a lifelong love of sports. He enjoyed soccer, football, and rugby, but it was hockey where he truly excelled, earning numerous trophies and championships throughout his life.
At a young age, Jeff began his career as a cook, a profession that quickly became a passion. He took great pride in preparing memorable meals for family and friends, bringing people together through his love of cooking. He later dedicated 29 years to Purolator Inc., where he worked as a courier and proudly served as a shop steward.
One of Jeff’s greatest joys in life was being Tyler’s father. He was incredibly proud of the thoughtful, intelligent man Tyler became and found immense happiness in watching him excel in track and field throughout the years.
Jeff shared a remarkable love story with Maria during their 16 years together. They built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Together they enjoyed camping, spending time on the water, taking road trips, and, most importantly, creating lasting memories with their children, grandchildren, family, friends, and their beloved dog, Loko.
When Jeff became part of Maria’s family, he embraced them as his own. Every family member she introduced him to welcomed him with open arms and came to love and appreciate the incredible man he was—not only to Maria, but to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Jeff was an extraordinary man with a heart of gold. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was known for his generosity, kindness, and compassionate spirit. He approached everything he loved with passion and dedication, and his warmth touched the lives of so many. His presence will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, support, prayers, and donations during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity have brought great comfort and are deeply appreciated.
