Obituary of George Perkalaba

November 15, 1935 – July 12, 2026     

It is with great sadness to announce the peaceful passing of George Perkalaba at Middlechurch Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

George will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his cousins and Betty Ann, daughter of his late longtime friend, Pauline (Lena) Swerhun. George was predeceased by his dad, Henry, his mother, Ksenia (Sonia) and his older brother, Bill.

George found joy in gardening and nurturing life around his home. He liked to read The Free Press and listen to the radio in his pastime especially Ukrainian music.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place.

Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.

Donation in his memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
