Obituary of Antonina MASKO

ANTONINA MASKO Peacefully passed away at St. Joseph's Residence on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the age of 90 years. Antonina is survived by niece Irene (John) Ornatowski in Winnipeg and other nieces and nephews in Poland; also remaining are one of her best friends, Steffie Bednarczyk and family. She was predeceased by her husband Stefan; parents; brother and many sisters. Antonina was born on December 26, 1918 in Poland and came to Canada in 1952 with her husband. She worked as a seamstress at General Hospital and the Fort Garry Hotel until retirement. Antonina enjoyed gardening and playing bingo. She was a long time member of Holy Ghost Church, Sokol and St. John Cantius seniors group and Club 13. She loved to travel, especially to Poland. Many thanks to the diligent staff at St. Joseph's Residence for their care and compassion and also thanks to Dr. Babick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father as Celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Antonina's memory to a charity of your choice.
