Obituary of Marija Paulic
MARIJA PAULIC
We announce with great sorrow and profound sadness the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Marija (Mare) Paulic on Saturday, June 6, 2009.
Mare was born in Batnoga, near Cetingrad, Croatia on May 23, 1920 and immigrated to Winnipeg where she soon became employed with the Manitoba Concert Hall for many years. Her retirement years were enjoyed spent with her family and friends within the Croatian church and community.
Left to mourn her memory are her children Milka (Ivica) Paulic and Mile (Eleanor) Paulic, along with her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Prayers will be held on Tuesday, June 9at 7:00 p.m., at Cropo Funeral Chapel, with Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Wednesday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Tavelich Roman Catholic Church, 2688 Main St., with Rev. Robert Polz officiating with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Nicholas Tavelich Roman Catholic Church for Caritas - Croatia.
