MICHAEL SHRUPKA
Michael Shrupka (Papa) beloved husband of Catherine passed away May 21, 2009.
Besides his wife of 75 years, he leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory daughters Gladys McInnes (Lawrence) and Gloria Wiebe (Bryan); grandchildren Cindy Tomiuk (Gordon), Kathy Wiebe (Jay), Larry McInnes, Wesley Wiebe (Tonya), Rodney McInnes (Sue) and Cory Wiebe (Andrea); great-grandchildren Ashley McInnes, Jenny Zibresky, Amanda Wiebe, Patrick McInnes, Madison Wiebe, Dakota Wiebe, Alexander Wiebe LaPlante, Makaya Wiebe and Brandon Wiebe; sisters Tillie and Helen.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, brothers Frank and Stanley, as well as sisters Ann and Nellie. Michael was born on July 3, 1910 in East Chicago, Indiana. He was the first child of Adam Shrupka and Apolonia Jurkiewicz. The family wishes to sincerely thank the Winnipeg Police Department and WFPS who responded so quickly, as well as the staff at Lindenwood Manor.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main at Inkster, with Rev. Darrin J.G. Gurr officiating. Interment will take place later in the day at St. Philip Cemetery in Arborg.
Papa, you will be forever in our hearts. We love you!
