Obituary of RUDY FERNANDEZ
With deep sorrow and sadness, I have to announce the passing of my beloved husband on December 31, 2024 with his wife Ellen and friends Bill and Ruth at his bedside.
He was born September 14, 1939 in Manila, Philippines. He was predeceased by his parents and leaves to mourn his wife of 55 years, sister and other relatives in the Philippines, Canada and USA.
He graduated from M.I.T. in the Philippines in mining engineer degree. Worked in Lynn Lake, MB and northern Ontario.
He loved bowling, reading, gardening and taking bus trip tours and casinos in the USA and Canada.
Special thanks to many friends, I appreciate the love and help from Ruth and Bill, Joe and Dawn, JoAnn, Sophie and Andy, Chris and Lillian, Joann and Carmelo and all the friends from the bus and bowling buddies.
I would like to thank the staff at SOGH Urgent Care and 3 Unit 4 for the care they gave Rudy.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews Street with Fr. Bo officiating.
