Obituary of GAIL FRANCES HRYCUK

Gail Frances Hrycuk passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 in her home at the age of 80 years young. She is predeceased by her mother Emma Hrycuk, father Frank Hrycuk, son Glen Hrycuk, and daughter Marilyn Hrycuk. Gail is lovingly remembered by her daughter Linda (Ernie); son Rick Hrycuk; and brother Rod Hrycuk; grandchildren Anthony (Harmony), Jeremy (Alex), Jessica, Alvin, Kenneth, and Austin; great-grandchildren Allissa, Jordyn, Tyler, Wyatt, Hayley, Saylah, Xavier, and Hudson. Nieces Jeannie (best friend) and Marnie, nephew Jamie, and godchild Glennis (Tootsie); as well as close friends Vi, Candy, Pat, Gail and Brenda, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Gail was born and raised in Winnipeg, but she loved to travel across Canada, with her favorite place being Toronto, Ontario. She worked in many types of jobs and she was not one to complain about her work. She just wanted to provide the best she could for her children. Later in her life she enjoyed spending time with The Shaughnessy Granny Group, laughing, talking and joking around over a few pots of coffee. She enjoyed learning to make Star Blankets, Jingle Dresses, Ribbon Skirts and all types of beadwork. She loved her hockey, “Go Jets Go!” with #37 being her favorite player, as well as the Bombers being her favorite football team.

In keeping with Gail`s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. She will be laid to rest at a later date with her son and daughter at Brookside Cemetery. You will be missed but never forgotten, always in our hearts. We all love you.
