Obituary of ROSE (ROSALEE) ERIN
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Erin, December 31, 2024, at the age of eighty-nine.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Morris, her mother and father (Annie and Mike Popadynec) and all her siblings (Andy, Mike, Katie, Charlotte, Minnie, Alec, Barney, Sophie, Joe, Mary, Ollie, and Jean). Rose is survived by her son, Morris (Karen), and her grandchildren, Daniel (Aleena) and Meghan (Mark).
Rose was born on the family farm near Wynyard, Saskatchewan and was one of twelve children born to Mike and Annie (Kohuch). As a young woman, Rose moved to Winnipeg, where she met and married Morris Erin. Rose and Morris were blessed with one son, Morris Frederick (Morrie).
Friendly, gregarious, and an avid conversationalist, Rose regaled in her daily chat sessions with family members and friends around the Grant Park area. Failing health in her later years curtailed her social activities; however, she still enjoyed the sanctity of her home. Rose was deeply religious and in the later years took great comfort in studying religious texts. Rose will be missed.
In respect of her wishes, cremation has taken place. A small observance in her memory will be held for family and friends in the spring. Details to follow - Please check back for up to date information on the date and time for Rose's Celebration of Life.
