Obituary of Hilmar AGOSTINHO
HILMAR AGOSTINHO
On Friday, April 23, 2010 we tragically lost our amazing Hilmar.
Hilmar was born April 21, 1953 in Alentejo, Portugal and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1971.
He became a very active member in the Portuguese Community, where he volunteered at the Portuguese Association of MB. He was a very caring husband to Felicia and a devoted father to Andrea and Patricia. He enjoyed life, making friends laugh, dancing, camping in the summer at the Portuguese Park, and travelling to warm places.
He had many joys in his life; in particular he enjoyed watching his business grow. There is a lot more to say about Hilmar, but no few words can describe what a great man he was and how much he was loved.
He will be sadly missed by his many friends, his brother Helder, sister-in-law Maria de Deus and only nephew Helder who live in Portugal. He also leaves behind, parents Amlia and Jose Antnio, children Sarah (Marc), Wellmar (Claire), Christopher, several grandchildren and many aunts and uncles.
His immediate family thanks all those who have provided their support through this difficult time.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St.
In lieu of flowers, you may choose to send donations to the Winnipeg Harvest Food Bank.
"It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all."
A Memorial Tree was planted for Hilmar
