Obituary of Helena ANYADIKE
HELENA ANYADIKE
Nee Zajdenbeutel
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Helena, after a short battle with breast cancer, on July 29, 2010.
Helena will forever be remembered by husband Ignatius; children David and Kenneth (Camille); grandchildren Taylor and Kyra; brother Borys (Jola); niece Eva (Leo) and their son Franco.
She was predeceased by her parents Felix and Maria.
Helena was born in Pieszyce, Poland on March 4, 1949. She grew up in Swidnica until the family moved to Israel in 1965. She graduated from nursing school in Israel and she served in the Israel Army, when she met Ignatius and they married in 1971. They immigrated to Canada in 1971, where Helena studied social work at the University of Manitoba and then worked at St. Amant Centre, St. Boniface Hospital and Health Sciences Centre.
She was a loving wife and mother and was a very caring person. Helena was very active in the community and very generous with her time, energy and heart to family, friends and greater community.
A prayer service will be on Monday, August 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 de la Cathedrale Avenue. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 3 at 12:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue.
She will be forever missed.
