February 13, 1950-February 14, 2010
It is with extreme sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Danny on Sunday, February 14, 2010, one day after his 60th birthday.
Beloved husband of Judy and his very special "girls" Lady and Lassie. Much loved uncle, great uncle, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law, cousin and dear friend to so many.
Danny was predeceased by his father Wasyl, mother Lena, brother Eddie and niece Danica.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife Judy of 22 years. He also leaves to mourn his brother Adam, sister-in-law Liz, nephews Dean, niece Robyn, Dale (Melanie) and nephew Dylan. Judy's family; mother-in-law Irene Wilchuk, sister-in-law Lora (Bill), nieces Ashley (Brendan), Amber, and Amy, brother-in-law Terry, nephews Jason (Lori) and family, and Chris (Rena), and niece Amanda (Reg), and their mother Evelyn, and brother-in-law Brian (Darcey) and niece Chantal.
Danny retired from Air Canada on August 1, 2008 after 23 years of service. He leaves behind many good friends including Gerry (Marieta) and his hunting (sausage making) best bud Maxi. His friends at Air Canada will miss his homemade special secret recipe beef jerky. He will be missed by special friends Lawrence Tataryn and Johnny Campbell. On Saturday, Danny celebrated his 60th birthday will close family and friends. He was so very happy we were there to celebrate with him.
Judy and Danny met at the Busy Beaver Drive Inn in Arborg on September 10, 1977. Thanks to good friends Roy and Margaret Chuckry. They tied the knot on June 13, 1987 and spent 22 years of married life together.
Danny was affectionately known as Uncle to us. Uncle was known for his great love of gardening and always bragged about his tomatoes, onions and 15 ft. tall sunflowers. He also had a passion for hunting with Maxi and nephew Dean. Danny was a huge Bomber fan and always looked forward to the Labor Day game he attended with his cousins Holly and Craig.
Uncle was looking forward to the upcoming weddings of his nieces Ashley and Amanda this summer. He made special birdhouses to donate to their socials.
We would like to acknowledge the Paramedics, City Police and Coroners Office for their compassion shown to Judy and family during our time of grief.
All of Danny's friends and family are considered to be Honorary Pallbearers. As per Danny's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service in Danny's honor will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery, Meleb, MB. Urn bearer will be his niece Ashley.
