Obituary of Gloria BILIK

GLORIA BILIK August 2, 1947 - October 19, 2008 Suddenly on Sunday, October 19, 2008, Gloria, our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 61 years. Gloria will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years, Edward; daughters Laura (Jason), and Sheri (Robert); son Joe in Victoria, BC; eight grandchildren, Bryan, Jayce, Nyke, Pauline, Christopher, Tyrell, Shailynn and Zackery; her sister Marie (Doug) Meyers; her brother Mervin and her aunt Katherine, nieces, nephews and many friends. Gloria led a wonderful life. She had a green thumb and had a passion for nature. She loved helping others in need and volunteered at the food bank at Holy Redeemer and sang in the Seniors Choir. She also volunteered at Donwood Manor and made many friends. The family wish to thank the Paramedics, Seven Oaks Hospital and the Health Science Centre for all their help and support. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 264 Donwood Dr. with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Schmied, OFM, Cap. officiating. Service will terminate at the church. If friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
