Obituary of John Boittiaux
John Francois Boittiaux
Johnny passed away peacefully on March 12, 2011. Born June 21, 1927 in Winnipeg, MB, the 7th of 7 children.
Predeceased by his loving wife Doree, and sons Jimmy and Gary, Johnny leaves behind to remember him, Rick, Larry, Lori, Chicky (Steve), Don, Melba and the Bueno Family, 6 grandchildren Karen, Eugene, Jamie, Jessica, Elizabeth and Thomas, and one great-grandchild, Kaila, his uncle Lawrence as well as his nephew Teddy and niece Betty.
Johnny worked 44 years at the CPR before retiring in 1988. He enjoyed the many friends he made at Creative Retirement and most probably spent the happiest part of his retirement in his years volunteering as a storyteller with the schools of Winnipeg.
Please join us in a celebration of life on Sunday, March 27th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory to the Kidney Foundation are gratefully appreciated.
