Obituary of Rose Danylchuk

ROSE DANYLCHUK (HYRA) August 18, 1920 - April 25, 2010 Peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Victoria General Hospital, our dear mother passed away at the age of 89. Devoted and loving wife of Mike Danylchuk who predeceased her in July of 1995. Rose leaves behind to cherish her memory; her twin daughters, Doreen Hein and Betty (Chris) Koutris; three grandchildren, Natalie, Deena and John, as well as two great-grandchildren, Jesse and Kristina. She was predeceased by her parents, Pollie and Yorko Hyra. Our mother was the youngest and last surviving sibling out of 14, having just been predeceased by her sister Donelda of Chicago, who passed away at the age of 101 on April 8, 2010. Our mother was born and raised in Angusville. She enjoyed working at the Health Sciences Centre (Housekeeping Dept.) for a number of years until her retirement. She loved to play bingo and in later years had a passion for the casino, where she made many friends and won many a time playing the VLT machines. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow at Thomson in the Park Cemetery.
