Obituary of Josephine MEDEIROS

JOSEPHINE de MEDEIROS July 9, 1929 - October 15, 2008 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, Josephine passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 79. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 61 years Dionisio; her sons Gabriel (Giselia), Ozzie and Henrique (Denise); her grandchildren Michelle, Lisa, Kevin, Chantal, Trista, Braden and Joe; 6 great grandchildren Chlo�, Maxim, Dyven, Addison, Emily and Kaylie; 2 sisters Silvina and Genoveva; 2 brothers Antonio and Olympio; 23 nephews and numerous friends. Josephine was born in Vilo Rabo Piexe, S. Miguel, Azores. She came to Canada in 1960 and worked 29 years for Rice Sportswear. Special thanks to the staff on the 8th floor of the St. Boniface Hospital. Thank you for all the support and love from family and friends. A Funeral Service will held on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with viewing half hour before service. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery.
