Obituary of Edward DEWALD
EDWARD KARL DEWALD
(TEDDY)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved, loving husband, father and Papa. On April 2, 2009, at his home with his family surrounding him, Edward took his last trip.
Left to mourn his passing is his family who he was truly dedicated and proud of, his wife Bonnie, son Kyle, daughters Alexis (Andy) Firman and Alisha, his future son-in-law David McCloskey and his adopted family Chad Sawatzky (Sheryl) and grandchildren Brayden, Adam and Aston, and Kiara Erickson, Cassie, Tyler, and Alexis McCloskey. He also left his furry friends, which stood vigil by his bedside while he was ill, and they will surely miss their master and the time spent outside together, Tryna, Chuckie, Stryker, Marina, and Beckey. He is also survived by his brothers William (Kim), Jerry, sisters Brenda (Edward) Skotniczny, Kim Unrau, Patsy (Johnny) Carson and his special sister-in-law Dorothy Bennett, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Alex, mother Verna and sister Ruth.
Teddy had an extended family, which was the taxi cab industry. He worked in the industry for over 35 years until his illness.
We will never forget his warm heart and gentle manner. A very special thank you to all Palliative Care nurses through CancerCare.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Teddy's life on Thursday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
