Obituary of Dennis DIDKOWSKI

DENNIS GORDON DIDKOWSKI July 3, 1960 - September 15, 2008 In the book of life another page was gently turned on September 15, 2008 with the passing of Dennis Gordon Didkowski. Dennis was born and raised in the Winnipeg community of Garden City where he attended R. F. Morrison elementary school and later Jefferson Junior High. When the family later moved to Selkirk, Manitoba he continued his education at the Selkirk Junior High School and Selkirk Regional Comprehensive High School. He later returned to Seven Oaks where he completed his grade XII at West Kildonan Collegiate and Red River Community College for two years. Dennis was an active participant in many outdoor sports including snowmobiling, golf, baseball and hockey where, while still living in Selkirk, he played with the Junior B Fishermen. To round out his life experiences he became an excellent musician on both the piano and organ. Dennis is survived by his parents Evelyn Kenny and Stan Didkowski (Mary Lou); his two children Brendan and Michelynne. Mourning his passing are his brother Wayne (Daria); niece Nissa and nephew Wade. Also left to mourn are his many cousins, aunts and uncles too numerous to mention; as well as the children's mother Pam. Dennis was employed by Manitoba Hydro as an electrical/mechanical technician working at the generating stations. His most recent post was to the Gillam hydrodam to upgrade their existing transformers. He loved his job and his many friends and co-workers at Hydro whom he spoke often and highly of. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. After cremation interment will take place in the Kenny plot at St. Clements Cemetery, Selkirk, MB. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.cropo.com .
