Obituary of Nadzieja DUBANSKI
NADZIEJA DUBANSKI (N�E JAREMA)
Nadzieja passed away August 27, 2008, after a short illness.
Nadzieja was born in March 3, 1917, Lwow, Poland. She was a courageous woman who survived the Siberian labour camps to join the Polish Free Army as a battlefield nurse, staying close to her husband Frank, a Corporal who fought at Monte Casino and other famous engagements. They immigrated to Canada in 1948, settling in Winnipeg. She was famous for her entertaining and warm generosity as a hostess.
Nadzieja is survived by two sons, Victor and Ryszard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk, with viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.cropo.com.
