Obituary of Larry EDKINS
Larry Edkins June 6, 1947 - January 14, 2010
Comforted by the love of his family, Larry passed away at the age of 62 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Larry will be deeply missed by his wife Sharon, his children, Adam, Michelle, and Nicole, and son-in-law Pablo. His grandchildren, Victoria, Celina, and Pablo Jr. His mother Marcella, and his sister Dawn, sister-in-law Janis, brother-in-law Ron, Danny, and Phil. As well as his nephews, Dean, Dion, and David.
Larry was predeceased by his father, Mike, and his sister Coleen.
Larry was born in Crystal City, Manitoba. He later moved to Winnipeg. His adventurous spirit led him to Toronto where he met his wife Sharon; and they began their life together and had 3 beautiful children.
A calm and patient man, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed being with people and nature; this took him to many places around the world. He also found peace in art, being a sign painter himself.
Hi family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba, as well as the palliative care nurses.
Special thanks to Dr. Fewer and nurse Janice.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson Highway Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1314 Henderson Highway.
You are forever in our hearts.
