Dearly loved, her passing will leave a void in the lives of many family and friends. Born on January 20, 1923 in Rhein, Saskatchewan. She married Frank in 1940, they were blessed with five children. She married Peter Kennie in 1970. She spent her life managing her own restaurant businesses. She retired at 55 to spend time taking care of her husband and helping her sisters take care of their mother Ann. In 2003 she moved in with her daughter Carol and husband Brian. She was dedicated to her family and spent many days babysitting the grandchildren and taking them on outings. Throughout her life she was devoted and always willing to help out with a smile on her face. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends, and caregivers.
At this time we would like to pay special thanks to the many homecare workers who helped take care of her so she could remain at home, Anna, Terry, Adeline, Rosemarie, Marcia, Leah, Maria, Sophie, Monica, Jeana, and Mildred and many others that touched her heart. You were all angels who helped make a difficult situation bearable with your excellent care and good cheer that helped make her wish of remaining at home come true. We would also like to thank all the staff at Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit for the excellent care they've provided to Laura over the years.
