Wesley KLEPSCH

Obituary of Wesley KLEPSCH

WESLEY KLEPSCH On December 3, 2008, Wesley Klepsch, beloved father, grandfather and friend, passed away at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 95 years. Wes was predeceased by his parents, siblings and most recently his companion, Sara Komorofsky in 2007. He leaves to mourn; daughter, Sharron (Mike); son, Marty; grandchildren, Melanie; Erin (Duane); and Patrick (Christie). He also leaves behind other extended family and Sara's family who he loved as his own; special mention to Sara's son Jack and wife Betty. Wes was born on July 16, 1913 in Bayard, Saskatchewan. Growing up on a farm, Wes became familiar with hard work and skilled with using machinery and tools. That would continue throughout his life with his interest in woodworking, carpentry and making his own clever inventions. Wes was employed in various trade-related work and labourer jobs. He also served Canada during the Second World War in London, England. He lived many years in Dryden, ON where he and wife Dessie worked and raised a family. Eventually he moved and settled in Manitoba. After his retirement, he lived in Winnipeg where he met Sara and in the mid 90's they made their home in Gimli where they truly loved being. They could often be seen driving around town on his scooter with Sara behind him in his homemade trailer....so cute that they made it into the local paper! His time was also spent working in his workshop and enjoying his friends and family. We have many fond memories with him over the years and when we visited he loved to re-tell the stories, laughing like it was yesterday. Wes was a deeply caring and supportive person and was someone you could always count on. He also had a way of cheering you up and making you laugh with his harmless pranks and great storytelling, also known as leg-pulling. His family and friends were so important to him and he was so proud of everyone. He was a special person to us and will be greatly missed but in our hearts forever. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the dedicated staff at the Victoria General Hospital for their fantastic care. As per his request, no formal service will be held but the family plans to celebrate his life together. If desired, a donation to the Salvation Army can be made in Wes's memory. Goodbye my family, My life has passed. I loved you all to the very last, Weep not for me but courage take, Love each other for my sake. For those you love don't go away, They walk beside you every day. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
