LOVIE LIEWICKI
On Friday, August 6, 2010, Lovie Liewicki, 72 was suddenly taken away from us. Lovie was born on October 18, 1937 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Lovie is survived by her husband Tom of 48 loving years. She is also survived by her Uncle Bill, nieces and nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Victor and Annie Uglanica.
Lovie loved to knit and produced hundreds of afghans for many families to enjoy. She was a member of the Old St. James Y Synchro Swimming Club and received many medals for her accomplishments. She spent many hours dancing at the Bob Sprague Dance Club.
Lovie enjoyed the finer things in life, shopping and travelling to Hawaii and Jamaica, her favourite spots. Later on in life, Lovie spent numerous winters, with her husband Tom, at the Alamo Country Club in Texas.
Lovie was truly "a lady" who was always smiling, vibrant, and lived life to the fullest. She has touched the lives of many people and will be sadly missed but never forgotten..
The family wishes to thank family Dr. R. Hayward, Dr. Pacin and the nursing staff on the 4th floor north of the Victoria Hospital. Dr. Hayward also cared for Lovie's mom and dad.
Lovie's Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
