Obituary of Marion Magee
Marion Mabel Magee
February 9,1934-August 21,2010
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, who passed away at home after a lengthy illness.
She was the heart of the family who kept us together and strong. Mom was born in Togo, Saskatchewan. She had many roles in her life and retired from Northern Telecom after being there many years. She spent her retirement enjoying her family and friends. She leaves us now with all that she has taught us especially love, strength and generosity.
She will now be together again with her husband and our Dad, Larry, also predeceased by her parents Lorna and Maxwell and her sister Anne.
She will be sadly missed by her brother Terry Brown (Susan), her children Shirley (Bill), Wendy, Donny (Bonnie), Laurie (Peter), Cindy (Wally), Dale (Lyana), and grandchildren Christopher (Sue), Kelly (Jody), Damien (Emma), Tyrone (Mya), Samantha, Haley, and great grandchildren, Ava, Aiden, and sadly will miss two new additions on the way, and many numerous nieces and nephews.
A very special thank you to friends Margaret and Irene for their support and efforts in Mom's last few days. We would like to thank all of the doctors at the Health Sciences Centre that cared for Mom during her illness, the staff on G4, ICU, and to the Riverview Rehabilitation Unit for all of their wonderful care.
Mom meant so much to so many people, words cannot describe. Her love and devotion for people, life and her love for animals is who she was and will forever be in our hearts, our memories, and thoughts, as we have to move forward without her. You gave us so much and guided us well.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Inkster on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion's name to any no-kill animal shelter.
