Obituary of Mary PANKOW

MARY PANKOW (nee Bodnarchuk) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Mary Pankow on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the age of 92 years. She will forever be missed by her son Don (Jean) Dudar and grandchildren Kathy (Andy) Babiak and Jeffery (Lynette) Dudar and great-grandson Lucas Babiak as well as many extended family and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joe and by her brothers Steve and Pete. She was born on September 15, 1915 in Mossey River, Manitoba. She will always be remembered for her wise words, her sense of humour and her strong character. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and cooking with her family. We will always remember "grandma's recipes". Mary taught us many things throughout the years that we will never forget. The family would like to thank the staff of Holy Family Nursing Home for their compassionate care. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. at Arlington St. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
