Obituary of Dimitrije RADOVANOVIC
DIMITRIJE RADOVANOVIC
October 19,1941-February 24,2009
With deep sadness the family announces the passing of Dimitrije (Mita) Radovanovic, our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
Mita was born to Katarina and Mladen Radovanovic in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He married Radica Radmanovac in August 1967. Their first son was born in Belgrade.
In 1970 the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg, where their second son was born. Mita was employed by various companies over the years, including Viscount Trailers, Atco Trailers, and the provincial government. He was a regular volunteer at the Serbian Pavilion at Folklorama. He had a generous nature and took great joy in his family and grandchildren.
Mita will be greatly missed by his wife of over 40 years, Radica, sons Nebojsa (Shelly) and Dejan (Barb) and grandchildren Lori and Kyle. He is also survived by brothers Ratomir (Marie) and Momcilo and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank staff on the fifth floor at Seven Oaks Hospital.
Prayers to be held Sunday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. (new time) at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 580 Talbot Ave. with Rev. Fr. Radovan Maric officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
