Obituary of Mary RURAK
MARY RURAK
Peacefully on October 30th 2009, Mary passed away at 91 years of age.
Predeceased by her husband Mike in 1985. Mary leaves to mourn her death, four daughters Violet Grygus & her husband Walter of Edm., AB; Stella Holowaychuk & her husband Paul of Spruce Grove, AB; June Bell & her husband Jim of Penticton,BC; and Lavinia Zaluski & her husband Greg of Wpg, MB., son Mike Rurak of Penticton, BC., 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Also mourning her death is her sister Pauline of Yorkton, SK among countless family & friends.
Mary was born and raised in Saskatchewan before moving to Winnipeg in 1959, where she lived the remainder of her full and happy life. Mary was a compassionate, caring and loving person & will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Prayers will be said at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.. Funeral Service will be on Friday November 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main St. Father Gene Maximiuk will be officiating with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers will be Messrs. Morris Bugera, Don Zubrack, Steve Hinkewich, Frank Keys, Walter Manulak and Taras Monastyrski.
Mary's family would like to extend sincerest gratitude to the paramedics, and the nurses and staff at the Grace Hospital and the Charleswood Care Centre for their kind support.
Rest in peace mom, you will be forever remembered.
