It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter at Deer Lodge Centre with his family by his side at the age of 73.

In the 1960s Pete worked for Manitoba Hydro and later went on to college to become a journeyman electrician. Peter was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2085, where he worked proudly for over 35 years in the electrical industry. His skills as an electrician took him all over North America, from the high Arctic, throughout Canada and the USA. He worked diligently on many Hydroelectric-generating stations, in Manitoba and was honored to be part of and to be present at the Limestone Generating Station when they turned on the power. Peter was a trade unionist, who continuously advocated for worker rights. He felt a special bond with his union brothers and was proud to be a member of the IBEW.
Pete loved to visit his parents in Arnes with his family, going snowmobiling and dirt biking, a passion he passed on to his sons. Pete's favourite pastimes were mushroom picking , gardening and spending time with his two grandchildren "Peanut and Bren Bren". Peter and Gladys celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on September 4, 2008.
Many thanks to Dr. Strang of Deer Loge Centre and his terrific staff who treated Pete with respect and dignity.
