Obituary of Leonilde SOUSA

LEONILDE REGO SOUSA It is with great sadness that the family of Leonilde Sousa announces the passing of their beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother on December 16, 2009, at the age of 79. She is survived by her sons Joao (Madalena) and Paul, and daughter Analia (Acores, Portugal); grandchildren Sandy (Paul), Steve (Julieta), Shawn, and Troy; great-grandchildren Jayden and Jolena. She also leaves to mourn her sister Alcinda, and her many nieces, nephews, and friends. Leonilde will be entering heaven to join her husband, Joao Oliveira, her son Manuel Santo Cristo, and her daughter Delia. Leonilde spent the last several years in the care of her family in their home with her daughter-in-law Madalena as her primary caregiver. She loved all of her grandchildren and played a big part in helping to raise each one. She was extremely proud to be blessed with her first great-grandchildren in July. Leonilde will be greatly missed by all that surrounded her. The family would like to thank Homecare (WRHA) and all of the workers who cared for her. Prayers will be Monday, December 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 10:30 a.m. also at the Chapel with Rev. Msgr. M. Comeault, P.H. officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. We love you Av�. You are finally at peace beside your loving husband and children.
