Obituary of Ms. Wornyck
Ms. Amelia (Millie) Wornyck
Millie Wornyck was born in Winnipeg on January 28, 1919. She was an only child to her mother, who predeceased her in 1985. Millie worked at Eaton's in the mail order and toy departments as well as In a poultry factory. Millie lived in the Corydon area for many years. She moved to The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg in April of 2007. Millie had no known living relatives but she was well known throughout the Corydon area community due to her daily walks. She continued her daily walks after moving to the care home. Area residents would call the care home to check on her if she hadn't been seen out walking in a few days. Millie was a very sociable and pleasant person and she will be missed by those who knew her. Thank you to the staff of The Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for their kindness to Millie during her stay there.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, 276 Hugo St.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Ms.
