Obituary of BERNARD MORRISON
Bernard David Morrison
March 12, 1934 – October 1, 2011
Peacefully, David passed into the arms of Jesus at Seven Oaks Hospital.
He leaves behind his loving wife Elda, his sons Simon of the USA, Duncan of the UK and his daughter Shirley (Tony) Fiorentino and their 3 children Jade, Joshua and Jackson of the USA. He also leaves 1brother George (Thelma) of Wales and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, 5 sisters and 1 brother.
David arrived in Canada in 1968 and was employed at the Selkirk Mental Hospital as a psychiatric nurse and worked at the Middlechurch Home until he retired. David and Elda were happily married for 22 years.
We would like to thank the staff of Unit 5 on the fifth floor of Seven Oaks Hospital and also to those who ministered to him during this time.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 am. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service and interment will be at the Transcona Cemetery after the reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernard’s memory may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 155 Bannerman Avenue.
