Grandchildren Carlos (Chelsey), Desiree, Alexis, Taylor, Cole, Aiden, Ashton, and great-grandchild Caleb. Brothers and sisters, John (Stella), Luis (Margaret), Filomena (Wayne), Ernie (Judy), Sally (John), and numerous nieces and nephews. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Jose Gracia, Jose (Juvenalia), Adelina, Silvena, Conceicao (Manuel), Ligia, David, Ivone, Tony, Margarida and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his mother and father Zelia and Joao Sousa, mother-in-law and father-in-law Maria and Adelino Tavares, brothers-in-law Carmindo and George, sisters-in-law Alda, Lucia, Oliviera and Maria do Carmo, and niece Vicki.

Carlos was born on December 9, 1946 in Sao Miguel, Azores Portugal. He served proudly in the Azores Army. Carlos moved to Winnipeg in 1971 where he started his life with his wife and children. He was an entrepreneur. He owned three businesses; Carlos Food Town and Bakery, Azores Club and Target Steel. He also worked for CN railway, Central Canadian Steel and Empire Iron Works. Once retired, Carlos began his passion for photography and film production and became a member of Liga Dos Combetente. Filming and photographing Mass at Immaculate Conception Parish for members unable to attend brought him great happiness! Even in his days of being unwell he made it a great priority to have mass available to everyone. His love of dogs was many but the two that were closest to his heart were Scooby and Mika.

We all love you and you will be deeply missed by all. Until we meet again.
