Obituary of PATRICIA LORRAINE LUCKO
Patricia Lorraine Lucko
January 23, 1946 - June 29, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Patricia Lucko on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the age of 75.
She is survived by her husband Ernie, sons Brent (Kim), Kelly (Heidi) and grandsons Aiden and Brady.
Left to cherish her memory are sisters Stella (Clarence), Sherry (John), brother Melvin (Lil) and sister-in-law Diane (Harvey).
She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Olive and her brother Frank.
She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends to share in her memory.
Patricia was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the Sandy Lake area.
As a young adult, mom moved to Winnipeg and met her future husband Ernie. They were married in Cooks Creek Catholic Church and started their life together. They settled in Transcona and started a family, raising two sons.
Mom enjoyed her new role in raising her family, always loving and supportive. Once her boys were older, mom took a position as a Nurse’s Aide at Park Manor Care Home. Her kind and compassionate nature was a perfect fit for her work and she made many friendships there.
For many years, mom was a devoted and active member of the St. Michaels Church. She was an Intercessory prayer leader, sang in the church choir and contributed to their bake sales.
In her later years, she adored being a grandmother. Mom was filled with joy upon the arrival of her grandsons. She loved all the moments, watching them in sports, sharing a meal, or tucking them into bed at night.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Concordia Hospital for the care they provided and the ability for us to spend time with mom in her final hours.
You were taken from us too soon mom, but your love and memories will carry us forward.
Due to Covid-19, a private service will be held with Interment at Transcona Cemetery.
