Obituary of DANIEL ODIDISON
DANIEL ODIDISON
(April 10 1946--September 20, 2021)
It is with great sadness that the Odidison family announce the sudden passing of, Daniel Sadadi Odidison. Daniel was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, father-in-law, brother-in-law and friend. He is survived by his loving, and devoted wife of 46 years, Gwendolyn Odidison, and their five children, Kenneth, Pamela, Beatrice, Elaine and Marjorie and their spouses; his many siblings around the globe including Augustine, Captain Sonny, (Nigeria) Victor, Toyobor, Misan, Franklin (Winnipeg) and their wives and children, his 11 grandchildren, and his beloved church family at New Anointing Christian Fellowship.
Born on April 10, 1946 in Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria, Daniel Odidison was an exceptional student, and athlete, which led to a professional soccer career. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1973, Daniel married Gwendolyn, received a degree in Criminology from the University of Winnipeg and started his career with Corrections Canada, which lasted 29 years.
Daniel loved traveling, cooking for family and friends, spoiling his grandchildren, and photography. Passionate about capturing memories and treasured moments, Daniel never left home without his trusted camera, and was hired for countless events. Charming, energetic and personable, Daniel was everyone’s best friend and cherished his family, and church family above all. He honored God, and lived a life that touched many. He will forever be missed and never, ever forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to Jehovah Jireh Children’s Ministry through the NACFwinnipeg.com website.
