IRENE CONSTANTINA PROKOP

 (nee STEFANYSHYN)

Peacefully, with family by her side, Irene passed away on November 23, 2021 at the age of 82.

She was predeceased by her father Theodore “Fred”, mother Annie, brothers Harry, Tony and Nick Stefanyshyn.

Irene is lovingly remembered by her husband William, children Lorraine Radocaj (Mike), Stanley Prokop (Tammy); grandchildren Nicholas, Jayden and Kaylee; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Irene was born and raised in Narol, Manitoba and was married to William for 53 years.  She worked for Eatons in the bakery department.  Irene enjoyed going to church, watching game shows, wrestling, playing cards, bingo and baking – especially with her granddaughter Kaylee.

The family especially thanks Rev. Michael Kwiatkowski for the wonderful service; pallbearers Tony, Glen, Robert, Peter, Nicholas and Jayden; Staff at the Maples Care Home, especially Tina and Karen who became very close to Irene.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11:00AM at Blessed Virgin Mary Church 965 Boyd Avenue with Rev. Michael Kwiatkowski officiating.  Interment will follow at Glen Eden 4477 Main Street.

As per health regulations, proof of vaccination with i.d. will be required.
