EULALIA MARIA MARTINS RODRIGUES BERGANTIM
August 29, 1935 – January 9, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eulalia Bergantim on January 9, 2022.
She is survived by her husband Carlos, her sons Jose and Humberto (Beth), daughter Tina (Keith), grandchildren Karla (Kurt), Scott (Diana), Emily and Joseph, great-grandchildren Taylor, Alex and Kennedy, sisters Aureliana (Norberto) and Lubelia (Luis), sisters-in-law Lourdes, Matilde, Maria Jose, Lucia, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Jose and Evangelina Rodrigues, brothers Leonildo and Avelino Rodrigues and her son Helder Serpa.
Eulalia was born in Feteiras, Sao Miguel, Acores. She was a teacher in various towns around her island as well as Winnipeg’s Portuguese School. She then served as parish secretary for Immaculate Conception Church for 15 years. She was very dedicated to her family and friends and active in her parish of St. Peters Church. She will be greatly missed.
St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church will be following the provincial Covid-19 regulations and a private family funeral will take place.
A recording will be available to those unable to attend the service.
