KENNETH BRUCE HUTCHEON
September 16, 1947 - February 4, 2022
Kenneth is survived by his sister Patricia Sweet (nee Hutcheon) with spouse Ian, brother Randall Hutcheon, nephews Dennis and David, nieces Lorna and Rose with spouse Brian Ramm, several great nephews including the youngest Wyatt, whom Kenneth had fondness for.
Kenneth was predeceased by his parents David Hutcheon and Erna Stinson, his brother and sister-in-law Donald and Jeanne Hutcheon (nee Bourgeois), niece Donna Marie Young, family friend William Miller and many loving dogs.
Kenneth was born in Winnipeg and was a long-time resident of Transcona. At a young age Kenneth was an Air Cadet, later developing a deep love for all things mechanical, especially Trains. Kenneth worked both at Eaton’s and Walter Woods during his life.
In mid-life you could find Kenneth at one of the many Transcona coffee shops, where he would share his knowledge of music with anyone who asked. He was a music enthusiast throughout his life.
A service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St., Winnipeg.
Live Stream will be available on his obituary page at www.cropo.com
The family would like to thank Saint Boniface Hospital for their care of Kenneth in his final hours. The family would also like to thank the staff on D3 of Concordia Place where Kenneth not only spent the last several months of his life but enjoyed making new friends and participating in coffee/tea time.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Winnipeg Humane Society for Kenneth’s love of dogs.
