DARRELL POMARENSKI

Obituary of DARRELL JOHN POMARENSKI

DARRELL JOHN POMARENSKI

July 29,1962 - March 16, 2023

Darrell passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital, on March 16, 2023.

Darrell leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Dawn, and children Kristin (Jordan), Trevor (Zinnia), and Kelsey (Travis), as well as his parents-in-law Marlene and Bill Hyndman. He will be missed by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends that he held close to his heart.

Darrell was predeceased by his parents John (1999) and Pauline (1994).

Darrell married his high school sweetheart, Dawn, in 1986 and had her happily by his side throughout his life. Darrell's biggest joy were his children and participating in their many activities - from photographing Trevor at football and soccer, to being a 'Dancing Dad' with the girls. Darrell surrounded all of us with so much love and extended kindness to everyone he met. Every person he met became his friend and he kept these friendships for life.

The best memories were those made anywhere that involved sports, especially his beloved Winnipeg Blue Bombers and being surrounded by the people he loved. Darrell always loved (trying) to make everyone around him laugh, whether that was with his terrible jokes or getting on stage to dance with the girls at their recitals. He could bring a smile to just about anyone and will be deeply missed by all.

Many thanks are extended to the family and friends that have been such a strong support system to Darrell over the past several years. A special thank you to friends that were like family, Bernie and Carl, for everything.

We would also like to spend a Thank You to Darrell's long-time family doctor Dr. Snovida for her care and to the St. Boniface Heart Failure Clinic doctors and nurses.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, with Rev. Don Schau officiating.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation - Heart Failure Clinic.

Rest in Peace, our dear Darrell and Dad.
