I am a second cousin of Chester on The Westover side. To Chester's family. am very sorry to hear of your loss my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to all! I was hoping to contact Chester about some family history of his Mother Theresa. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me as it would help me complete an ancestry project. I can be reached at drodgelodge@nf.sympatico.ca.
Sincerely
Robert Lodge

Chester also held a teaching degree from Sir George Williams University in Montreal, Quebec. He was also Principal and CEO of the K-12 school in Whitedog, Ontario. While at Ross L Gray School in Sprague Manitoba he set up a special needs education program, its first computer lab, and solicited from the government funding for a distance education program.
He will be most remembered for his acts of charity, advocacy for social justice and his personal mission to help the poorest of the poor with his wife at his side. He served as past co-president and volunteer for many years in the frontlines of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP), a cause near and dear to his heart. He was actively involved in his parish for many years serving on committees for Social Justice, Development and Peace, and Refugee Resettlement.
He was an avid reader his entire life often found with a book in hand reading classic literature, poetry, and books on history and politics. He researched and wrote about his family history and later in his life enjoyed reading and analyzing poetry.
In lieu of flowers he wished for donations to be made to SSVP at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Parish in Winnipeg, Manitoba to help the poor and needy, a cause dear to him.

Active member of the Knights of Columbus for over 40 years in three provinces (New Brunswick, Quebec, and Manitoba) and co-leader for St. Vincent De Paul at St. Timothy Parish - the latter for which he had expressed in lieu of flowers the deep wish for donations to help the needy and the poor. God bless you Chester and family. You are in my prayers.
