Obituary of RYSZARD "RICHARD" ADAM LESZCZYNSKI

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ryszard (Richard) Adam Leszczynski, with family by his side on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 69 years. He will lovingly be remembered by his wife Maria; children Daniel and Michelle. Ryszard also leaves behind brothers, Jan (Lucyna), Jerzy (Ewa); sisters, Krystyna (Władek), Danuta, Bogda, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

Ryszard was born and raised in Nysa, Poland. He moved to Winnipeg in 1984. There he met the love of his life Maria and they were married in 1986. They raised 2 children together, Daniel and Michelle, and he loved spending time with his family.  He worked for Master Roofing for over 25 years as a mechanic. He was an intelligent man who knew how to fix or build anything. He always had a project on the go. He designed and built his dream cabin in Traverse Bay, which he moved into in 2018 when he retired. He was known for being a happy man with a smile on his face. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to any friend or neighbor.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Boniface Hospital for the care he received.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Following the service, please join us for late lunch at Sokol Hall, 717 Manitoba Ave. Ryszard will be laid to rest at a later date.
