Obituary of GARY ALAN GIRA

It is with heartbreaking sadness that we say our final goodbyes to Gary Gira, age 61, of Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He passed away from cancer with his loved ones surrounding him on March 7th, 2024 at St. Boniface Hospital.

He was a wonderful Partner, Father, Friend and the World’s Best Grandpa.

He leaves behind a large family including his son Scott (Rheannan), grandson Cody, daughters Sara and Jenni (Joel), granddaughter Lucy and his dear friends Colleen, Megan, Brent, Benjamin, Logan and Kelsey.

Gary was "a force to be reckoned with" and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  During this time may you find comfort in reflecting on the happy memories and all the Bad Jokes.

He requested that no funeral or memorial service be held and asked that if you did want to send a donation in lieu of flowers that it go to the organization of your choosing, excluding cancer. 

 Gary believed there is a higher presence, so in his words, 

“Look for me in the things around you, people, places and memories. I will be there. “
