Obituary of WENDY LORENE ORVIS
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Wendy Lorene Orvis on Sunday March 3, 2024 at the age of 46 years. Wendy was predeceased by her grandmother, also known as her adoptive mother; Alma Josephine Orvis, brothers; Warren, Alvin, Jerry, Anthony and special Auntie Kay.
Wendy will be lovingly remembered and is survived by her children; son Jeremy (Nadine), daughter Josie and her granddaughter Caliyah Josephine Sanchez Orvis. She also leaves her parents; Wallace (Audrey) and Bernadette, Sisters; Cheryl (Rob), Stephanie (Leonard), Courtney (Tyler), brothers; Derek (Rose), Kelly, Daryl and Kyle (Vaughan). Along with 10 nieces and nephews, her best friend Lisa, and numerous special family and friends.
Wendy was born and raised in Winnipeg by her grandmother Alma Orvis. She loved cooking and had great enjoyment in entertaining family and friends. One of her favourite events to plan and host with her friend Lisa were Texas hold ‘em get togethers and birthday parties.
Wendy loved spending time with her children and siblings. She was a great friend to everyone who knew her. She was always willing to help anyone in need when she was able. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street, Monday March 25, 2024 from 6:00-9:00 PM with cremation to follow.
A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
