Obituary of WILLIAM "BILL" GERARD KIELLY
We are saddened to announce peacefully, with family by his side, the passing of Bill Kielly.
Bill was predeceased by his mother Ellen Meahan and foster parents Rosalie and John Plante. He is survived by his loving wife Denise, son Christopher (Bree), daughter Carrie (Don), two beautiful grandchildren Donald and Delilah. Bill also leaves behind his sister, Jackie (John), brother Bob (Corrina) and Bonnie along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Bill was born in St John's, Newfoundland and raised in Val-d'Or, Quebec. He moved to Winnipeg at a young age where he met his wife Denise and raised their two children.
A family man with great work ethic, Bill dedicated 43 years (1981-2024) to the Cloverdale/Guertin company, starting as a floor employee and worked his way up to Plant Manager. Bill loved his hockey and baseball. He spent many years enjoying spongee at the Old Ex arena, and playing on multiple softball teams. Bill's favourite times were spent with family at the cabin, enjoying many road trips with Denise on his motorcycle, and watching his two grandchildren grow.
A special thank you to Neranjan, Bill's brotha from another motha! And Cheryl (Dale) for the heartfelt support.
A Celebration of Life to honor Bill Kielly will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 9 920 Nairn Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 12th, 2024 at 1pm.
