Doug, Marcy and Debra,
Uncle George – that picture and his smile immediately transported me back to the farm they frequently visited. I can still hear his wonderful laugh and feel the kindness from both his and Auntie Gloria’s presence. Every visit we were presented with some little treat, usually Hubba Bubba or Double Tape, but there was always a catch or game to receive it. My greatest memory of both of them, was during one of the most difficult periods in my life when I had to stay with them for an extended period away from my family. The love, kindness and compassion they showed me still resonates in how I treat people to this day. All this to say, that if I were to speak with him again, I would tell him that the greatest fuss should be made over people who feel they live the humblest of lives as the impacts from their kindness is further reaching than they know.
With deepest condolences (and through sobbing tears),
Vicki

Vicki summed this up beautifully and her words reflect my sentiments and memories.
Uncle George was such a wonderful presence in our lives (my sisters and I). His and Auntie Gloria’s visits to the farm were cherished.
I will never forget the twinkle in his eye as he smiled and the genuine interest he took in each of our young lives.
It doesn’t make sense in my mind that he is now gone. But I am comforted by the thought that he is reunited with Gloria, my grandma and others.

I knew George and Gloria when they attended Grey Street church. They were such a wonderful couple. Always cheerful and fun to chat with. They were definitely a blessing to all who knew them.
