Obituary of MARIE-ROSE SYCH
MARIE-ROSE SYCH
(nee Petit)
November 16, 1945-May 18, 2024
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Rose on May 18, 2024 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 78.
Rose is survived by her daughter Darlene and granddaughter Taylor (Zach). Rose will also be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Louise (Lou), brother Paul (Terri), sisters- in- law Wendy, Louise Petit and Larice (Lasha) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her “little girl- Libby”. She is predeceased by her parents Prosper and Jeanne, brother’s Edward and Victor, sisters Rita, Marie-Reine and Cecile, brother-in- law Ron and by the love of her life, her husband “Russ” on September 11, 2011.
Rose was born on November 16, 1945 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up on the farm in Grande Pointe. Rose worked for many years alongside her twin sister Marie at Paulin Chambers until they shut their doors. Then she went on to work as a Health care Aide.
In 1971 Rose met the love of her life, Russel Sych who would become her life long partner and friend. They spent many years camping, fishing and hunting together. There are fond memories of all the ‘fish frys’ they hosted with family and friends.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held on Friday June 14, 2024 following which she will be reunited with her husband Russ at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
