Obituary of GLEN NELSON JOSEPH LAVALLEE
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Glen Nelson Joseph Lavallee. He passed away peacefully at Holy Family Home in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents Nelson and Patricia Lavallee and nephew Wayne.
Glen leaves to mourn his two daughters Nikki and Ellissa Schmidt, granddaughter Jada, brothers Lawrence (Kim), Ian (Debbie), Mark (Donalda), sister Lynn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Glen worked as an auto body repairman for many years. After the death of his father, Glen was hospitalized and put on life support. He was on the lung transplant list but was taken off of the list due to COVID. He came very close to death a few times, and he was not ready to die. He fought hard to live on oxygen tanks for almost 9 years. He lived in the care home, gained weight, learned to play guitar and met his only granddaughter.
We want to thank Larry Lavallee for always visiting Glen, Gail for being an amazing friend to Glen, and all of the staff at Holy Ghost Care Home for being the best place that Glen lived in.
He will be dearly missed by his loving children.
Rest in Peace
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg.
