Obituary of COLIN RICHARD GARRIOCH
COLIN RICHARD GARRIOCH
May 10, 1970 – July 15, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Colin Garrioch on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Colin leaves to mourn his wife Laura, son Cole (Brooklyn), his daughter Hailyn (Dawson) and his beautiful twin granddaughters Hadley and Skylyn. He also leaves to mourn his parents Christa and Don (Sylvia), mother-in-law Judy Deering and sister-in-law Cheryl (Dennis) and nieces Stefani (Tyler), Morgan (Avery) and nephew Corbin.
Colin was born in Winnipeg on May 10, 1970. He attended and graduated from Kildonan East high school where he learned auto body in addition to academics.
Colin worked in the body shop industry for about 15 years and then decided to start his own foundation company. He had the foundation company for about 6 years then got a job at MPI as an estimater.
Colin loved to sit in the garage and fix things, usually beyond broken things, just to prove he could fix them. He also loved small woodworking projects and snuggling on the couch with his granddaughters watching Disney movies.
The Lord saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So He put his arms around you and whispered "Come with me". With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer and saw you fade away, Altough we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the amazing staff at the ICMS unit at St Boniface hospital for your efforts and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 8 at 1:00 pm at the Devries Legion, Henderson hwy at the perimeter.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Cancer Care MB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation Colin’s honour.
