Obituary of TAMMY LYNN MCKENZIE
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Lynn McKenzie. After a lengthy battle with Lupus and a courageous fight against cancer, Tammy passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 49. Tammy took her last breath at Seven Oaks Hospital with her mother, Linda, and daughter, Lorinda, by her side.
Tammy leaves behind her precious children: daughter Lorinda, and son Samuel (Karla); Goddaughter Drew; her beloved mother, Linda; brothers: Darrell (Karen), Dennis (Eileen), Thomas, Curtis (Tiffany); sisters Harriet, Mary-jane, Julie, Wendi, Stephanie (James); adopted brother Steven Spence; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tammy will be reunited with her father Elbert, her great-grandparents Elie and Juliette Bernard; grandparents Henry and Joyce McKenzie, great grandparents, Jospeh Chartrand and Albina Genaille, grandma Martha Chartrand, Stepdad Austin Clarke; aunts: Berniece Starr, Marilyn McKay, Pauline Genaille, Nancy Chartrand; uncles: Stanley McKenzie, Daniel Chartrand; her adopted little brother Conrad Parisien; nieces, Madison and Sadie; and the father of her children Sammy Spence.
Tammy's children were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment of motherhood. She found joy in spending time with loved ones, playing games, and getting lost in a good book. Tammy inherited her love of cooking from her mother and was always eager to help prepare meals for special occasions. She also enjoyed simple pleasures like watching movies and playing her favorite games on Facebook. Even after lupus robbed her of her mobility and hearing, Tammy never complained, and she always chose to see the good in every situation. Her bravery and positive outlook on life were an inspiration to all who knew her.
