It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ron Withawick on August 1, 2024 at the age of 73.

Ron leaves to mourn his wife of 26 years Marianne Heatherington, 3 daughters Wendy, Amanda, K (Keenan) and son Charles (Lacy), 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his sister Marie (George).
Ron was a power engineer and worked at Vale/Inco in Thompson, Manitoba for 35 years, retired moved to Winnipeg, got bored then worked for Maple Leaf Foods where he retired from twice.
He liked anything to do with the outdoors from fishing to chopping down wood for his stove in his cabin and playing with all his TOYS as he called them.
Ron’s family was always first and foremost to him and he loved them very much.
Ron fought cancer for 4 years but lost his fight in the end. We would like to thank all the staff on the 6th floor of HSC for the wonderful care and kindness they showed Ron and our family.
