Obituary of VESNA MARIE HORVAT

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a sister and daughter, Vesna Horvat on the evening of August 13th at the age of 64.

She was a true warrior in the fight against cancer and in her sleep passed peacefully.

Vesna was born in Maribor, Slovenia and immigrated, with her family, to Canada in 1970 at the age of nine.  For many years, with pride, she worked as a banker and loved to travel whether for work or pleasure.

We are not sure what life will be without her but we will all miss her dearly for her smile, her laughter and in the pleasure she took in taking care of others.  Not to mention her exceptional culinary skills.
