Obituary of LYDIA ROSARIO CONOPIO
Lydia Conopio, beloved wife of Antonio passed away peacefully on Monday August 19, 2024 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg at the age of 85 years.
She was predeceased by her parents (father) Simplicio Rosario, (mother) Josefa Vinluan, brother Jose Rosario, brother Norberto Rosario, sister Trinidad Aquino, Conchita Soriano; brother Pedro Rosario, sister Adelida Salinas and brother Tony Angel Rosario.
Lydia is lovingly remembered by her husband Antonio, son Norbert (Cheryl) Rosario and grandchildren Jacob, Jordan and Juliana Rosario. Also surviving are her sisters Sophia Coelho and Milagros Estoque and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Lydia was born in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, Philippines and immigrated to Canada at the age of 29 to work as a seamstress. Soon after, she worked at Tuxedo Villa Extendicare as a Health Care Aide until she retired. On June 26, 1982 she married Antonio Villaneuva Conopio. On may 14, 1994 their adopted son Norbert Rosario came to Canada.
We would like to thank the Doctors and nurses a the Grace and Victoria Hospitals and Oakview Place for the wonderful care given Lydia during her stay there.
Evening Prayers and Lamay will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. with Prayers beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
Funeral service will be held on Monday August 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. also in Cropo Chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St.
